Deposits (Risk Free In-utero-reservations)

 

Are Refundable:

There is no obligation to buy the foal until a decision is made after the foal is born. The deposit is 100% refundable until this point. (If no foal is born or the foal has any kind of deformation the deposit is refunded.)
 

When the foal is born Equine Elite will determine the price (we can give an estimate before the foal is born, however, this would not be a binding note). The prospective buyer will decide if they want the foal within 2 weeks of foals birth date. ( Notice of foals birth & photos will be provided within 2 days of foals birth)
If the buyer does not want the foal the deposit will be refunded in full immediately and the foal will be listed as available.
If the buyer wants the foal then they will pay the remaining amount to make it a 25% deposit, and sign a purchase agreement/contract. The deposit becomes non-refundable at this point. 
Remainder of payment is due Prior to pickup and by Oct 31st, 2021, boarding fees apply after. (AS NOTED BELOW)
 

 

Deposits (weanlings)

 

Non-Refundable:

Payments with a  25% deposit can be made until pick up or weaning (October 31st the latest). Weanlings can stay with their dam free of charge until end of October of their birth year or until they are at least 4 months old.

Boarding fees (US$200 to $280/month board&feed depending on the season) apply from November 1st on. We recommend that you insure your foal immediately.

 

 

Boarding:

We can winter weanlings for their new owner for $200/month boarding fee OR $350/month would includes continued halter training and regular handling as well as de-worming, and hoof care.
Boarded horses have free access to Grass/Alfalfa bales with Hay Chix Nets.

 

Boarding fees are due monthly in advance, beginning November 1st. (Must be picked up by April 1st the following Spring)

No Soundness guarantee:
Foals are listed completely sound; if a injury does occur it will immediately be noted.

There is no 'guarantee' they stay sound; horses are horses, we have very safe facilities and have not had any foals or horses become unsound to date. That being said horses are horses. So we recommend you insure you foal/horse immediately.

Upon agreement being signed to purchase the horse is considered property of the buyer/new owner and thus any health/soundness issues are the responsibility of the buyer at that point.

Travel Papers:

We will provide a Coggins test at our expense. The buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements, brand inspection if applicable, and/or health certificates if needed. 
We can schedule a veterinarian in October once for all weanlings.  We may be able to discuss arrangements to take a broke horse to the vet or have a weanling moved to a more accessible location - please inquire beforehand. 

Shipping:

Unfortunately we can not deliver horses, but if you are interested in estimated shipping costs we can recommend a few options. Our zip code is 58474(Oakes, ND) for looking up shipping quotes or Zip code 58760 for the foals located in Maxbass, ND(with Deb Dunham). On average you are looking at ~$1.25 per loaded mile for distances above 500 miles, and about $1.50 for distances less than 500 miles, with a licensed shipper.

We might be able to deliver your foal to you within 300 miles, but won't be able to compete with shipping company prices.

 

Please discuss shipping dates with us before officially hiring the shipper. If we don't know about if before hand the horse or weanling will not be leaving. We also reserve the right to refuse to send a foal with a shipper that shows up with a dangerous trailer at our descression.

Final Payment:

Our horses will not be allowed to leave same day if not in paid for in full before hand or final payment is in cash.  

If you want to hold the horse, we require 25% of the purchase price as a non-refundable deposit. The remainder of the balance is due at pick up in CASH or must have time to clear the bank. 

Payments will NOT go over 6 months! ( If not paid in full within 6 months the weanling/horse will go back on the market and the deposit will not be refunded)

Payment Types:

We accept the following as payments: cash, cleared checks, cashier’s checks; PayPal and credit cards.

With PayPal and credit cards there is a 5% service fee.

Registrations:
 

All foals/weanlings come with a certificate of registration and signed transfer report for AQHA unless otherwise noted. 
Due to AQHA being notoriously overworked please be patient and expect a bit of a delay until the final certificates reach you.

Note: Registration & Bill of Sale will not be provided until paid in full.  Pickup will not be allowed until paid in full.
